37) Digital display: Voltmeter /
programming mode. The digital display is used
to display both the preset welding stresses and
the actual voltage of the power source. In the
programming mode, it's purpose is also to display
the parameters. Depending on the programming
parameter selected, the status indicator
underneath the display will light up to show the
units of the programming parameter. Its purpose is
also to display error codes.
38) LED light indicating that the display (37) shows
the synergistic program number. Adjustable from
P-1 to P-24. The operating possibilities of this
machine have been extended. This allows the
welder to manually set all welding parameters to
obtain the best welding result (P-1). But, because
this is quite complex, this welding machine has
synergistic programs (P-2 to P-24). Press the
control knob (62) to enter the programming mode.
The LED (38) lights up. The program number
(P-1 to P-24) is displayed on the left digital display
(37). To select the relevant program for your
welding application, check the card on the inside of
the wire feed unit or the table shown later in this
manual. Simply set the welding current (45) and
the welding machine automatically calculates the
optimum welding voltage and wire feed rate for the
type of material used, type of wire, wire diameter
and shielding gas. The other parameters are
therefore matched to the adjusted welding current.
The type of welded connection, plate thickness
and air temperature can influence the optimum
welding voltage and wire feed rate. Accordingly,
the program has a fine adjustment for the welding

voltage of the selected synergistic program.
Viewed from the current setting, this varies from
4 volts less to 4 volts more. Changing the welding
voltage of a synergistic program does not affect
the standard settings. To reset the welding voltage
to the default setting for the respective synergistic
program, select a different program number and
then select the current program number again. All
this ensures a particularly fast and user-friendly
operation of the welding machine.
39) LED light indicating that the display (37) shows
the voltage. Manually adjustable from 10.0 to 50.0
when using program 1.
40)
LED light indicating that the display (37) shows
the welding voltage (the voltage) for the crate
filling. Manually adjustable from 10.0 to 50.0 when
using program 1.
41) LED light indicating that the display (37) indicates
the tack welding time. Manually adjustable from
0.0 to 10.0 when using program 1. Also known
as intermittent welding. A tack weld is not a
continuous weld, but an interrupted weld. This
type of welding is used to prevent distortion of the
material by heat. There are two common forms of
tack welding, namely a fillet weld and a butt weld.
42) Digital display: Ammeter / programming
mode. The digital display is used to display
both the preset welding current and the
actual amperage of the power source. In the
programming mode, it's purpose is also to display
the parameters. Depending on the programming
parameter selected, the status indicator
underneath the display will light up to show the
units of the programming parameter.
