2. INTRODUCTION

2.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

WELDKAR TIG 2025 AC/DC PULSE
This 230 Volt portable AC/DC TIG inverter has a
weld current range of up to 200 Amp and weighs just
21.5 kg. Thanks to the high power output, aluminium
stainless steel and steel up to 5 mm can be welded
with this device. In addition to the MMA function for
welding with coated rutile, alkaline and stainless steel
electrodes up to 3.25 mm, this machine is provided with
a range of adjusting options for (Pulse) TIG welding.
This professional machine is naturally equipped with
HF ignition, up and downslope regulation, 2 - 4 stroke,
gas after flow and pulse frequency regulation. Pulse
frequency regulation is essential for welding work on
thin-walled pieces. The TIG 2025 AC/DC Pulse also
offers an adjustable current frequency that improves
fusion penetration, offering even greater control over
the welding pool. The simple control panel is clear
despite the many functions. In other words, this is the
ideal machine for TIG welding on all types of material,
including aluminium. Suitable for generator use (min.
5 kVA).
The machine is fitted with a handy carrying handle
and a protective cover for the display, and is supplied
complete with a 4-metre TIG torch, 4-metre earthing
cable with earth terminal, 2.4-mm TIG torch components
and welding cable with electrode holder.
The machine enjoys protection class IP 23 S (splash
waterproof) and EMC protection.
The weld inverter is supplied as standard with a:

2.4 THERMAL PROTECTION

This inverter is protected by a thermostat. When the
thermostat is tripped, the machine stops delivering
current but the fan continues to run. The yellow led
(13) lights to indicate when it is tripped. Do not shut
off the welding machine until the led has gone off.

2.5 MOTOR-DRIVEN GENERATORS

These must have a power equal to or greater than 5 kVA,
and must not deliver a voltage greater than 253 V.
2.6 PROTECTION AGAINST SHORT-CIRCUITS
(ANTISTICK)
If a short-circuit occurs lasting more than two seconds
when welding with coated electrodes, the current is
reduced to harmless levels.
