Upon successful activation, the device sends a join
request to the server and waits for acceptance (join
accept).
If no connection is made then a further request is
sent every minute (to a max. of 5 requests).
The indicator light (red LED) indicates the status of
the connection process:

If no successful join is achieved then the device will
send a random join request every day until a
successful connection is made (LED does not display
later attempts to join).

5. Radio modules
The EDC wireless M-Bus radio modules of the first
generation are available in T1 mode. The EDC wM-
BUS V2 modules send C1 mode respective T1 mode
depending on the scenario.
The modules operate unidirectional and usually
send every 20 seconds. Special versions possible.
The LoRaWAN® variant is available with a monthly
(scenario 201) or daily (scenario 202) transmission
interval.
A variant with hourly values (scenario 203 = 8
telegrams with 3 hourly values each) is available on
request.
