Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
u
easily ignite.
Note: Do not use the dust extraction system (12) when
screwdriving or cutting threads.
The dust extraction system (12) springs back while working
so that the dust collector is always kept close to surface. The
dust extraction system is automatically switched on and off
with the power tool.
To achieve optimum extraction results, pay attention to the
following instructions:
– The application tool being used must not project beyond
the dust collector (15).
– Ensure that the dust extraction attachment is positioned
flush with the workpiece or the wall. This also makes it
easier to drill at a right angle.
– When using the dust extraction attachment, always work
at the maximum speed.
– When you reach the required drilling depth, pull the drill
bit out of the drill hole first and then switch off the impact
drill.
– Check the condition of the filter element regularly (24).
Change the filter element immediately if it is damaged.
Removing/Fitting the Dust Extraction System (see figure
F)
To remove the dust extraction system, press the release but-
ton (8) and pull the dust extraction system toward you.
To do this, move the auxiliary handle (10) to the side if ne-
cessary.
To fit the dust extraction system (12), slide it via the guide
grooves (23) onto the support guide of the power tool until
you hear it click into place.
Self-Generated Dust Extraction with Dust Box (see figure
G)
The filling level of the dust box (9) can easily be checked
through the transparent flap (26).
Empty the dust box at regular intervals to avoid any reduc-
tion in suction capacity.
To remove the dust box (9), press the two release buttons
(25) and pull the dust box downward out of the dust extrac-
tion system (12).
Before opening the dust box (9), gently strike or tap it
against a firm surface to loosen the dust from the filter ele-
ment (24).
Open the dust box flap (26) on the bottom and empty the
dust box.
Check the filter element (24) for damage. If it is damaged,
replace it immediately.
Shut the dust box flap (26) and reinsert the dust box from
below into the dust extraction system 13 until you hear it
click into place.
Changing the Filter Element (see figure H)
In order to maintain the filter performance, the filter element
(24) of the dust box (9) must be changed after approx. 15
operating hours.

To remove the dust box (9), press the two release buttons
(25) and pull the dust box downward out of the dust extrac-
tion system (12).
Remove the filter element (24) upward and insert a new fil-
ter element.
Reinsert the dust box into the dust extraction system (12)
from below until you hear it click into place.
Note: If the filter element (24) is damaged (e.g. holes, dam-
age to the soft sealing material), it must be replaced immedi-
ately. Working with a damaged filter element can cause dam-
age to the power tool. Also replace the filter element (24)
when the suction capacity is insufficient, even when the dust
box (9) is empty.
Setting the Drilling Depth (see figure I)
You can use the depth stop (27) to set the required drilling
depth X.
Insert a drill bit into the drill chuck and clamp the drill bit,
see "Changing the Tool" section. Without switching the
power tool on, place it securely against the surface to be
drilled until the drill bit touches the surface.
Press the button for depth stop adjustment (14) and move
the depth stop (27) so that the clearance X shown in the fig-
ure corresponds with the required drilling depth.
Adapting the Dust Extraction System to the Tool Length
(see figure J)
To make working with short application tools more conveni-
ent, the length of the dust extraction system (12) can be ad-
apted.
Press and hold the button (11) and slide the telescopic
guide (13) into the dust extraction system (12) until the
dust collector is close to the tip of the application tool.
To extend the telescopic guide back out, press the button
(11) again.
Dust Collector for Drill Bits (see figure K)
The dust collector for drill bits (15) can be equipped with
rubber rings (28) in two sizes. For drill holes to 12 mm in
diameter, use the rubber ring K1 with the small opening; for
larger drill holes, use rubber ring K2 with the large opening.
To change the rubber ring (28), push it backwards out of the
dust collector (15). To insert the rubber ring, place it on the
dust collector and push it tight.
To change the dust collector (15), push the release button
(29) and pull the dust collector out of the dust extraction
system.
To insert the dust collector (15), push it from above into the
dust extraction system (12) until you hear it click into place.
Operation

Starting Operation

Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the

power source must match the voltage specified on the
rating plate of the power tool. Power tools marked
with 230 V can also be operated with 220 V.
