WARNING!
Only carry out work on the device if the mains switch is in the "O" position.
Only carry out work on the charger when it has been disconnected from the mains
supply.
WARNING!
As soon as the mains switch is in the "I" position, the tungsten electrode of the wel-
ding torch is live. Ensure that the tungsten electrode does not touch any persons or
electrically conductive or earthed parts (e.g. housing, etc.).
Move the mains switch (8) to the "I" position (all the indicators on the control panel
will briefly light up)
Using the Process button (3), select the TIG welding process - the welding voltage is
applied to the welding socket with a 3 s time lag.
Press the "Parameter selection" button (2) (indicator on the button must light up)
-
Parameters which can be adjusted on the TR 2000 / 3000 / 4000 remote control
cannot be altered on the power source. These parameters can only be altered
on the TR 2000 / 3000 / 4000 remote control.
Set the desired amperage using the adjusting dial (1) (value can be read off from the
left-hand indicator)
Open the gas shut-off valve on the TIG gas-valve torch and set the required shiel-
ding gas flow rate on the pressure regulator.
Place the gas nozzle on the ignition location so that there is a gap of 2 - 3 mm (a)
between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece
Gradually tilt the welding torch up until the tungsten electrode touches the workpiece
(b)
Raise the welding torch and tilt it into the normal position - the arc now ignites (c)
