The measuring tool can be controlled by touching the buttons on the touchscreen
display.
 Use only your fingers to operate the touchscreen.
 Do not bring the touchscreen into contact with other electrical devices or water.
 To clean the touchscreen, switch the measuring tool off and wipe off dirt using, for
example, a microfibre cloth.
Navigating in the Menu
To control the measuring tool via the touchscreen, the following general buttons (in
addition to buttons in the specific language) will appear:
Button Action
Go back to the previous page
Go forward to the next page
Go one menu level back/up
Open the "Settings" menu
Open the "Help menu"

Initial Operation

Switching On and Off
 Before switching the measuring tool on, make sure that the sensor area 1 is
not moist. If required, dry the measuring tool using a soft cloth.
To switch on the measuring tool, press the On/Off button 5. Follow the tips on using
the measuring tool. You can choose to disable the function that shows these detailed
instructions every time the tool is switched on (see "Tips", page 26).
To switch off the measuring tool, press and hold the On/Off button 5.
If no physical or touchscreen button is pressed on the measuring tool and no objects
are detected for approximately 5 minutes, the measuring tool will switch off automat-
ically to preserve the batteries.
