Maintenance and storage
1. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure equipment is in safe
working condition.
2. Never store the equipment with petrol in the tank inside a building
where fumes may reach an open flame or spark.
3. Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
4. To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine, silencer, battery com-
partment and petrol storage area free of grass, leaves or excessive
grease.
5. Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or deterioration.
6. Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
7. If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done outdoors.
Lawnmower IB-55050B with Touch-N-Mow starting system
The Touch-N-Mow starting system is a new product designed to give
customers freedom from discharged batteries, electrical cords, switch-
es and pull cords. Once energized, this mechanical starter will start
the engine with the push of a button.
As with any new product, there are important safety considerations
for Touch-N-Mow.
- Always disconnect the spark plug, discharge and lock the Touch-N-
Mow and remove the safety key before performing any service to the
engine or mower.
- Be sure the Touch-N-Mow is discharged and locked before removal
or handling
- Do not place hands or feet under the mower while the starter system
is energized.
- Never assume that the starter is de-energized, even if the key is in
the lock and remove position and/or removed from the engine.
- Do not place your hand on the flywheel when discharging the starter.
- Do not carry or pick up the engine by the flywheel cup.
- Always handle the Touch-N-Mow starter by the spring housing. Do
not pick the starter up by putting your fingers between the starter
housing cover and the internal components.
- Do not attempt maintenance or repairs to the Touch-N-Mow starter.
- Always lock and remove the safety key and store in a safe place until
the next use.
- Removing the key will prevent unsupervised or unexpected starting
of the mower by children or unsuspecting adults. The safety key must
be in locked position before it can be removed.
- Always verify that the stop switch wire is fastened and grounded
correctly. Failure to properly ground the stop switch will result in
starter damage.
Always de-energize and lock the Touch-N-Mow before:
- removing grass or other debris from under the mowerdeck
- changing oil, air filter or spark plug
- removing blade for servicing
- performing any other service to the engine or mower
- transporting the mower

clockwise direction.
6. Pull the dipstick out again and check oil level is just below the
"FULL" or "MAX" notch.

2. To keep your engine in good working order, change the oil after
the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 working hours.

the oil more frequently.

2. Refuel outdoors using a clean funnel to prevent spilling. Wipe up
any spilled petrol.

Do not fill beyond 15 mm from top of fuel tank as fuel expands
when hot.

and DO NOT smoke!
