Check whether lubrication is required more often.

This may be the case with:
high temperatures
excessive dirt
when there are fat solvent fluids or fumes in the vicinity.
at speeds over 2 m/s
with extremely short strokes (< 50 mm).

Dismantling and repairs

Warning
Hot surface temperatures (up to 70 °C in normal operation, over 100 °C when
there is a fault) can cause burns.
S Make sure that hot surfaces on the linear module can only be touched if the
user is sufficiently protected against burning (e.g. by wearing protective
gloves).
Warning
Strong magnetic fields impair the functioning of electronic devices (e.g. heart
pacemakers).
S Always leave the linear motor 2 fitted inside the HME−...
Otherwise strong magnetic fields may occur.
S Always leave the housing of the linear motor mounted.
The screws in the housing must not be loosened.
Switch off the power supplies.
S
Always send the HME−... to Festo for repairs.
S
Make use of the opportunity to have your HME−... overhauled by our repair
S
service.
Only repair by Festo will guarantee that all safety standards are observed. In
order that professional overhaul can be guaranteed, we recommend that you
do not undertake repairs yourself.
