1. Seal the nostrils using the nose pieces.
2. Close the mouth/roof of the mouth and, using lung
power, carefully create the required counterpressure
in the nose and throat area.
4.3.3 Blowing out water
If water has penetrated the full face mask, you can
remove it from the full face mask at any time by
breathing out through the nose with the head upright.
The water is then pushed out of the full face mask
through the blow-off valve.
4.4 After use
Press the unlocking keys of the corresponding plug-in
connectors and release all breathing systems from the
full face mask. After releasing the breathing system
from the medium-pressure connector, you can breathe
in ambient air — that is, you can keep the full face mask
on to go to the water's edge where necessary. Any
microphone unit and/or mechanical residual pressure
alarm that is fitted can remain on the full face mask.
Using both hands, grip the quick-release handles and
pull the mask forwards in a straight line until the four
side straps of the head harness are open wide. Then
remove the full face mask upwards from the head using
the handles.
Cleaning
Clean the full face mask thoroughly after each use. For
further information, see the following chapter:
"Cleaning", page 23
