Problem
Flakes and impurities
come out from the
soleplate during ironing.
Water comes out of the
steam holes in the
soleplate.
Possible cause(s)
You may have pressed
the cartridge release
button by accident,
causing the cartridge to
pop out of the cartridge
compartment.
You have just refilled the
water tank.
You have just inserted a
new cartridge.
Hard water forms flakes
inside the soleplate.
The steam control has
been held in the extra
steam position (two
clouds) too long.
Smoothing liquid or
another substance has
been put in the water
tank.
Solution
Push the cartridge firmly
into the cartridge
compartment until you
hear a click (see 'Preparing
for use', section 'Inserting
and removing the
cartridge').
After you have refilled the
water tank, some foam
may come out of the spray
nozzle during the first few
seconds of use.
Some foam may come out
of the spray nozzle during
the first few seconds of
spraying.
Use the Calc-Clean
function a few times (see
'Cleaning and
maintenance', section
'Calc-Clean function', for
instructions).
Do not hold the steam
control in the extra steam
position for more than
10 seconds. Allow at least a
1-minute interval before
using extra steam function
again.
Do not pour any
smoothing liquid or
another substance into the
water tank.
