CLEANING THE ASH RESERVOIRS

In order to ensure a continuity of the product guarantee, cleaning of the ash
reservoirs by a Bronpi Calefacción authorised technician on an annual basis is
compulsory. A service report of work done must be kept.
This task involves cleaning the ash reservoirs register of your boiler or thermo-stove just like
sweeping the chimney.
First of all whole inside of the combustion chamber must be cleaned, soot removed from
chamber walls (descaled), because this makes thermal efficiency higher, the surfaces need to
be brushed thoroughly with a wire brush to clean of the dirt. (see drawing D84).
It is also necessary to clean the heat exchanger chamber, because the soot makes it difficult
for the smoke to circulation. To access to this zone you must remove the top of the thermo-
stove, or in the case of boilers, the front cover where the display is placed and then carry out the next operations:
-
Remove the reservoir cover unscrewing the different screws (see drawing D85.
-
Remove the thermal insulation material (see drawing D86).
-
Clean the ashes deposited on the top (see drawing D87).
-
Replace the pieces.
-
Check the seal integrity of the register.

When the top is clean, you have to clean the ash reservoir at the bottom of the boiler or thermo-stove. To do this, it is necessary to remove the
central ash pan (see drawing D88) and then, carry out the next operations:
-
Remove the reservoir cover unscrewing the different screws (see drawing D89).
-
Clean the ash deposited in the reservoir, descale the soot deposits (see drawing D90).
-
Replace the parts.
-
Check the seal integrity of the register.

SEASONAL STOPPAGES

If the boiler or thermo-stove is not going to be used for a long time it is advisable to leave the fuel tank empty, as well as the endless-screw
in order to avoid the fuel compacting or gaining moisture and expanding. It is necessary to clean the boiler or thermo-stove and the smoke
duct by removing the ash and other residues, close all doors of the equipment. It is recommended to clean the chimney at least once a year.
Meanwhile, check the seals because if they are not in good condition (they do not seal the door), they do not ensure the proper operation of
the boiler or thermo-stove! For this reason, it would be necessary to change them. You can find this spare part in the same Bronpi distributor
where you bought your boiler or thermo-stove. If there is humidity in the place where the boiler or thermo-stove is installed, put absorbent
salts inside the equipment. Protect the internal parts with neutral vaseline in order to keep the appearance overtime time.

MAINTENANCE REVIEW

It is also advisable to check and clean at least once a year, the
existing ash reservoirs in the bottom and the top part of the boiler or
thermo-stove.
Your boiler or thermo-stove has a preventive maintenance notice
established at 1200 hours of operation, which will remind you of the
need to clean the reservoirs of your boiler. These operations should
be done exclusively by an authorised technician.
This message is not an alarm, but a reminder or warning. Therefore,
