12. SERVICING AND CARE

The maintenance operations guarantee a proper
operation of the product over its lifetime. Not making
these maintenance operations will affect the safety of
the product.
12.1.

BURNER CLEANING

Even though the burner cleaning is automatic, it is
necessary to carry out a weekly cleaning. (See drawing
D79).
-
Use a vacuum to clean the ashes in the burner.
-
Remove the burner from its place and unblock
the holes.
-
Hoover the ashes which is inside the burner
housing.
12.2.

EXCHANGER CLEANING

The heat exchanger pipes and the smoke chamber cleaning ensure the thermal power is constant during the life of
the product. This cleaning is automatic so the user must not be worried about it. An authorised technician must be
commissioned to do the maintenance at least once a year. See drawing D80.
12.3.

CLEANING THE ASH PAN

The ash pan should be emptied when necessary. The boiler should not be operated without having the ash pan in
position. In the event of using olive stone as fuel, the amount of ashes will be higher than those produced by pellet.
In this case the ash pan cleaning should be done more frequently. (See drawing D81).
12.4.

ASH PAN DOOR AND COMBUSTION CHAMBER DOOR SEALS

The seals ensure the boiler or thermo-stove air tightness and, thus, a proper performance (see drawing D82).
It is necessary to check them regularly; if they are worn-out or damaged they should be replaced immediately.
You can find ceramic cord and self-adhesive fibre at the same Bronpi distributor where you bought your boiler
or thermo-stove.
These operations should be done exclusively by an authorised technician.
12.5.

CLEANING THE CHIMNEY

When the pellet / olive stone are burnt slowly, it produces tar deposits and other organic vapours that combined with the humidity to create
soot (creosote). An excessive accumulation of soot may cause problems in the smoke outlet and the flue may catch fire if not maintained..
The cleaning of the boiler chimney should only be made when the equipment is cold. A chimney sweep should perform this task and, at the
same time, examine the smoke duct (it is recommended to write down the dates of every cleaning and keep a register of them).
12.6.

CLEANING THE GLASS

IMPORTANT:

Clean the glass only when it is cold in order to avoid possible explosion. You can use specific products. You
can find Bronpi vitro ceramic-cleaning product in the same Bronpi distributor where you bought your stove (see
drawing D83).
BREAKAGE OF GLASSES. The glasses, as they are vitro ceramic, resist until 750ºC and they are not subject to thermal
shocks. The breakage can only be caused by mechanical shocks (crashes or violent closing of the door, etc). Therefore, its
replacement is not included in the warranty.
12.7.

EXTERNAL CLEANING

Do not clean the external surface of the boiler or thermo-stove with water or abrasive products because they may damage the stove. Use a
feather duster or a moist rag
