Recommended Usage Chart – Continued
Direct Prep
For slicing or grating ingredients directly into the cooking bowl or into a
side container.

Sous Vide
Use this cooking function on a range of ingredients, including meat, fish,
eggs, vegetables alongside other dishes for enhanced textures, flavours and
tenderness.
To use the Sous Vide Pre-set Programme
1 Fit the slow cook plug.
2 Place ingredients into a sealable bag, remove air, seal bag and place in the bowl.
3 Then add water to the 3 litre mark (Do not exceed the max mark).
4 Ensure the lid is fitted correctly and the filler cap is in place.
5 Select the Sous Vide Programme.
6 Adjust the time and temperature as required. Note: The Time will not start counting
down until the set temperature is reached.
7 Press the control dial to start the cooking process.
Hints & Tips
The required cooking time will depend on the type and thickness of the ingredients
used NOT the weight.
The required temperature will depend on the desired texture of the finished dish/
ingredients.
Always add the bags to the bowl first and then cover completely with water.
Do not fill the bowl more than half full with ingredients. For best results add at least
1.5 litre of water and do not exceed the 3 litre max mark.
Ensure that the food bags are not touching as this will affect the heat transfer.

Only use food-grade plastic vacuum-sealable bags which are specifically designed
for sous vide cooking.

Hints & Tips
Always use fresh food.
Do not cut food up too small. Fill
the width of the feed tube fairly full.
This prevents the food from slipping
sideways during processing.
There will always be a small amount of
waste left on the disc after processing.
When grating food placed upright will
come out shorter than food placed
horizontally.
Do not process frozen ingredients.
