The specifi ed vibration value can be used for initi-
al assessment of a harmful eff ect.
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
Only use appliances which are in perfect wor-
king order.
Service and clean the appliance regularly.
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
Do not overload the appliance.
Have the appliance serviced whenever ne-
cessary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Caution!
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with instructions, certain resi-
dual risks cannot be rules out. The following
hazards may arise in connection with the
equipment's construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is used.
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vib-
rations if the equipment is used over a pro-
longed period or is not properly guided and
maintained.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains
supply make sure that the data on the rating plate
are identical to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making
adjustments to the equipment.
All covers and safety devices have to be pro-
perly fitted before the equipment is switched
on.
It must be possible for the grinding/sanding
belt and disk to run freely.
When working with wood that has been pro-
cessed before, watch out for foreign bodies
such as nails or screws, etc.
Before you actuate the On/Off switch, make
sure that the abrasive paper is correctly fitted
and that the equipment's moving parts run
smoothly.

5.1 Assembling the machine (Fig. 1 - 6)
Plug the rubber feet (2) onto the base plate
(5).
Secure the plastic guard (16) with the screws
(17). (Fig. 2)
Plug the grinding/sanding disk (13) onto the
shaft. (Fig. 3)
Tighten the screw (18) with the Hexagon key
(19) in order to secure the grinding/sanding
disk (13). (Fig. 3/4)
Mount the lower wheel guard (20) with the
screws (21). (Fig. 4)
Mount the grinding/sanding table (14) and se-
cure with the screw (15). (Fig. 5) The grinding/
sanding table (14) can be infinitely adjusted
from 0° to 45° with the miter scale (23) and
the thumb screw (22). The adjustable cross
stop (7) ensures safe guidance of the work-
piece.
Important. The grinding/sanding disk (13)
must be able to run freely, but the distance
between the grinding/sanding table (14) and
the grinding/sanding disk (13) is not allowed
to exceed 1.6 mm.
Put on the stop rail (12) and secure with the
screws (24) and (25). (Fig. 6)
Important. The grinding/sanding belt (11)
must be able to run freely.
5.2. Changing the grinding/sanding belt (11)
(Fig. 7 - 9)
Pull out the power plug.
Remove the screws (25) and (26).
Remove the grinding/sanding belt guard (27).
Turn the grinding/sanding tensioner (9) to
the right in order to reduce the tension on the
grinding/sanding belt (11).
Remove the grinding/sanding belt (11) to the
rear.
Mount and the new grinding/sanding belt in
reverse order.
Important. Note the running direction: On
the housing (28) and on the inside of the grin-
ding/sanding belt!
5.3. Adjusting the grinding/sanding belt (11)
(Fig. 1)
Push the grinding/sanding belt (11) by hand
slowly in the running direction.
The grinding/sanding belt (11) must run
centrally on the grinding/sanding surface (6).
If not, you can use the knurled screw (10) to
make adjustments.
