REPLACING THE SIDE BRUSHES (FIG.8)
Unscrew the four screws and the brush comes away from its support.
After fi tting the new brush, repeat the adjustment operations described, moving the stopper on the slotted
element in the opposite direction to that described for adjustment.
1) Brush tilt adjusting screw
2) Brush fastening screw
The main brush sweeps dust and refuse into the hopper at the rear of the motor sweeper.
WARNING!
Never sweep up strings, wire, etc., which can become entangled in the brush and damage the bristles.

LIFTING AND LOWERING THE MAIN BRUSH

The main brush is lifted and lowered by lever 3 (Fig.6). The main brush "fl oats".

ADJUSTING THE MAIN BRUSH

The main brush should just touch the fl oor, leaving an even trace 4-5 cm wide when it rotates.
Procede as follows to adjust the main bush:
- loosen the screw 1
- move in ahead of a notch the adjusting 2
- tighten the screw 1
When adjusting the main brush, the mobile plate on the refuse bin inlet must also be adjusted.
Proceed as follows:
- lift the hopper;
- back off the nut 5 on the sides of the mobile plate 4;
- turn the mobile plate down by about half a slot;
- tighten the nut 5.
CLEANING THE DUST GUIDE PLATE (FIG.9)
If the motor sweeper is used outdoors (courtyards, squares, etc.) where the ground may be damp, dirt may build
up on the front part of the main brush dust guide plate, reducing the effi ciency of the machine.
Check the condition of the dust guide plate at regular intervals and remove any encrusted dirt with a metal
scraper.
