7 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
7.1 Initial start-up
General
For lubricated compressors:
Should the compressor have been out of action during the last 6 months (when put into operation, check
the date recorded on the data plate), it is strongly suggested that lubrication of the compressor element
be refreshed: discharge the oil, fill the compressor with the same oil, rotating the motor shaft.
1. For units equipped with anti-vibration devices, remove the red transport brackets fitted under the
compressor.
2. Check the electrical installation which must conform to the instructions given in the electrical connec-
tion section.
3. Check that the oil level is within the red circle of the sight glass (7). The minimum level is indicated by
the lower part of the red circle.
4. Power up the unit. Start the motor.
5. Check the operation of the air pressure switch.
7.2 Starting up
1. For lubricated compressors: check that the oil level is within the red circle of the level sight glass SG.
The minimum level is indicated by the lower part of the red circle.
2. Power up the unit.
3. Turn the switch to the I position (Auto), as shown in Figure 2.
4. For compressors equipped with an electrical box, also rotate switch (E1) to the ON position, as shown
in Figure 3.
