4 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Always observe all safety precautions during installation.
Electrical connections must be carried out by a specialised electrician.
The complete wiring must conform to the applicable regulations.
Before connecting the compressor, check that the voltage and frequency quoted on
the rating plate match those of the local electrical mains.
Install an isolating switch on the compressor's power cable and protect each phase
from short circuits with suitable fuses.
The electrical power cables and ground cables must be of suitable sizes.
For DOL starters , connect the power cables as shown in the electrical diagrams.
Refer to the section dealing with the Overload relays and fuses and Cable dimen-
sions.
For the star-triangle starters , connect the power cables to isolating switch QS1
as shown in figure 1. Check both the positioning on I (ON), and the calibration of
magneto-thermal circuit breaker QF1.
Check the calibration of timer KT1, with basic setting of 4 seconds.
