The following tools are required for mounting:
 Nails
 Power drill
 2 mm wood drill
 Screwdriver
To mount the kitchen radio under a wall unit, proceed as follows:
 Hold the mounting template [G] on a suitable place of installation under your wall cupboard.
 Place a nail on each the markings of the mounting template [G] and make a small dent in the wall unit
material.
 You can now remove the mounting template [G] from the wall unit.
 Use a 2 mm wood drill to drill small holes where you made the little dents.
 Push the mounting plate [17] backwards off the kitchen radio and remove it.
 Now decide if you want to mount the kitchen radio with or without the spacers [C].
 Mounting with spacers [C]: Place the spacers [C] between the wall unit and the mounting plate
[17]. Fix the mounting plate [17] using the long screws [D].
 Mounting without spacers [C]: Fix the mounting plate [17] using the short screws [E].
 Slide the top of the kitchen radio onto the mounting plate [17] until it clicks into place. Verify that the
device is safely securely fixed.
 Lay out the wire antenna [18] and the power cable [19].
To dismount the kitchen radio, proceed as follows:
 Pull the kitchen radio forwards off the mounting plate [17].
 Remove the screws from the mounting plate [17] and detach the mounting plate [17] and, if used, the
spacers [C] from the wall unit.

7.4 Inserting the backup batteries

On the bottom of the kitchen radio, you will find the battery compartment [23] for the backup batteries.
Here, you can insert batteries (not supplied) so that you do not lose preset stations, alarm settings and
the time if there is a power cut.
To insert the backup batteries, proceed as follows:
 Open the battery compartment [23] on the bottom of the kitchen radio by sliding the battery
compartment cover in the direction of the arrow and removing it.
 Insert the batteries (2 AA-type batteries, not included) with the correct polarity (+ and -). The correct
polarity is marked on the batteries and inside the battery compartment [23].
 Re-insert the cover of the battery compartment [23] and slide it in the opposite direction to the arrow
until it clicks into place.
CAUTION! Remove the batteries when the device is not to be used for an extended
period. The batteries could leak and damage the device.
