To remove and install the 3 bar or 5 bar ¾ length folding side rail:
Some beds are fitted with easy to remove folding side rails. Removable folding side rails are
available in 3 bar or 5 bar configurations. Removable side rails are identical in operation to the
fixed ¾ length side rails described on the previous page.
Make sure the side rails are in the raised position.
Locate the securing pins at both ends of the bed between the side rail and bed frame.
For each pin, pull the securing loop (2) away and lift the pin out of the frame (3).
Lower the folding side rails (refer to page 21).
WARNING
With the side rails lowered and the securing pins removed, the side rails can move
unexpectedly. Take care during removal to avoid sudden movement of the rails that
could cause entrapment of limbs. Be aware of contact points described on page 20.
Hold onto the side rail near the mounting points (2) and pull the side rail away from the bed frame.
To install the side rails, slide the rail mounts into the bed frame mounting points (2) and secure
with the securing pins.
