Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to installation and keep them for later use.
1 Applications
Due to various supports, this miniature camera with
a fixed focus wide angle lens (aperture angle: 140°)
and switchable mirror function is suitable as a rear
view system in cars, as a spyhole camera or for
inconspicuous video surveillance. The camera fea-
tures a backlight compensation, a gain control and
an electronic shutter and thus ideally adapts to vary-
ing lighting conditions.
2 Important Notes
The camera corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
.
Protect the camera against extreme temperatures
(admissible ambient temperature range: -30 °C to
+75 °C).
Never use aggressive detergents or chemicals for
cleaning.
No guarantee claims for the camera and no liabil-
ity for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the camera is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
correctly installed or if it is not repaired in an expert
way.
If the camera is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
3 Installation
For installing the camera, four different supports are
supplied:
— support A to be attached to a horizontal surface
— support B to be attached to / to be screwed on a
vertical surface
— support C to be screwed on a vertical surface
— support D to insert the camera into a 21 mm drilled
hole
Select the desired support and insert the camera.
Perform an operating test to find the ideal place for
installation.

3.1 Support A (fig. 1)
1) Insert the grommet (2) with the metal ring into the
support A.
2) Pull the connection cable of the camera (1)
through the grommet. Insert the camera into the
grommet.
3) Screw the base plate (3) to the support.
4) Use the corresponding adhesive pad provided to
attach the support with the base plate to the spot
defined previously. Make sure that the surfaces
are clean.
3.2 Support B (fig. 2)
1) Screw the metal plate (5) to the support B.
2) At the place of installation defined previously, drill
a 5 mm hole to lead through the connection cable.
3) Fasten the support with the metal plate via two
screws (three self-tapping screws 2.6 × 8 mm and
2.6 × 10 mm each are provided) or attach them via
the corresponding adhesive pad provided. Make
sure that the surfaces are clean.
4) Insert the grommet (2) with the metal ring into the
support.
5) Pull the connection cable of the camera (1)
through the grommet and through the metal plate.
Insert the camera into the grommet.
3.3 Support C (fig. 3)
1) Insert the grommet (2) with the metal ring into the
support C.
2) Pull the connection cable of the camera (1)
through the grommet. Insert the camera into the
grommet.
3) At the place of installation defined previously, drill
three holes for the mounting screws and a 5 mm
hole to lead through the connection cable. Screw
on the support with the camera (three self-tapping
screws 2.6 × 8 mm and 2.6 × 10 mm each are pro-
vided).
3.4 Support D (fig. 4)
1) At the place of installation defined previously, drill
a 21 mm hole for the rubber support D (without
metal ring).
2) Put the metal ring of the grommet (2) on the rub-
ber support and insert the support into the 21 mm
hole.

3) Put the 17 mm rubber ring (6) on the support in
such a way to secure the support in the hole.
4) Insert the camera (1) into the support.
4 Electrical Connection
1) Connect the plug (4) of the camera to the green
inline jack of the 8 m connection cable.
2) Connect the yellow RCA plug of the connection
cable to the video input of a monitor.
3) Connect the black core of the connection cable to
the negative pole and the red core to the positive
pole of the electrical system of the car or of a reg-
ulated power supply unit (6 – 24 V ).
4) If the green core is not connected, the image on
the monitor is mirror-inverted. To deactivate the
mirror function, connect the green core to the neg-
ative pole of the supply voltage and, if necessary,
briefly switch off the supply voltage.
5 Adjusting the Camera
After connecting the camera switch on the monitor.
By means of the image on the monitor, adjust the ball
of the camera with the bracket (7) [fig. 5].
