Operating instructions SATA paint set 10, SATA FDG 24, SATA FDG 48
8.2. Pneumatic agitator
• The maximum air inlet pressure of the pneumatic motor must not
exceed 7 bar!
• Never let the pneumatic motor run without load (i.e. agitator not im-
mersed in the medium)!
• The operation of the pneumatic motor requires technically clean and
oiled compressed air! Required amount of oil: approx. 1 droplet of
acid-free oil per minute.
• The agitator speed can be continuously adjusted on the air microm-
eter [1-19] of the pneumatic motor!
• The agitator speed must be adjusted as required to ensure proper
mixing of the material!
The pneumatic motor is virtually maintenance-free. Only in case of a loss
of power, the motor must be cleaned:
1. Fill a few drops of petroleum into the sound adsorber connection drill-
ing [1-20] connection. Then manually rotate the motor on the stirrer
blades.
2. Clean the motor by letting it run at approx. 0.5 bar until the motor
power has been fully restored.
• When using, cleaning or maintaining the paint pressure tank, always
wear approved breathing and eye protection equipment as well
as suitable protective gloves, overalls and safety boots!
3. Lubricate the motor with a few drops of acid-free oil at the air inlet.
8.3. Insert pot
SATA paint pressure tanks can be retrofitted with a stainless steel insert
pot.
• When retrofitting the paint pressure tank with an insert pot, the as-
cending tube may have to be shortened by approx. 20 mm!
