ASSEMBLING THE TABLE ExTENSIONS
The saw is delivered with two extensions (6) to support larger workpieces. The extension wings
may be assembled on either side of the saw, depending on the size of the workpiece.
1.Place the extension into the holes in the base of the saw.
2.Tighten the extension locking screw to lock the extension.
ASSEMBLING THE DUST BAG (1)
1.Insert the dust bag (A) into the end of the elbow (the end of the bag is placed over the elbow).
2.If you wish to improve dust removal, a vacuum cleaner with a dust removal pipe may be
connected directly to the extraction elbow of the saw.
NB: Empty the bag regularly in order to avoid a build up of dust. The dust bag has a zip fastener
to make it easier to empty. The dust bag may also be rinsed with warm soapy water and dried
before reuse.
fASTENING THE SAw TO A SURfACE
Before use, the saw must be fastened securely to a level surface.
1.Four holes (B) are located at the ends of the saw base to fasten the saw to a workbench or
other supporting surface (3 of the 4 holes are shown in the picture opposite).
2.If the saw is often moved, mount it on a plywood base (at least 20 mm thick), which can then
be easily clamped to any maintaining surface.
ASSEMBLING THE SAw VICE
1.The vice (5) may be fitted to the left or right of the saw and is fully adjustable to the work-
piece.
2.Do not use the saw without first clamping the workpiece.
3.Make sure that the vice screws are properly tightened.
4.Insert the rod of the whole vice downwards into the hole in the base of the machine and lock
it in place by tightening the locking knob.
5.For proper operation and adjustment of the vice, see the section "Operating the vice" below.
OPERATING THE VICE
1.The vice height may be adjusted by unscrewing the locking knob and sliding the vice body
upwards or downwards. Once the height has been adjusted, tighten the locking knob once
more.
2.Before operation, position the vice so that the underside of the pad is slightly in contact with
the top of the workpiece.
3.Then clamp the workpiece against the table by screwing the knob until the workpiece is
clamped. After cutting, loosen the locking knob to slide away or remove the workpiece.

MOVING THE SAw

1.When transporting the saw, make sure that the cutting arm is locked down.
2.The table locking screw (13), the bevel lock lever, and the locking knob for the head movement rails (2) must all be properly tightened.
3.Use the carrying handle or the base to lift the saw.
Before adjusting the saw, make sure it is disconnected from the power source.
For safe, accurate and effective saw operation, the following adjustment procedures must be complied with.
When all the adjustments have been made, make sure that all the keys and tools are outside the machine and that all the screws, bolts
and other fasteners are correctly fastened.
Do not use the saw before following these procedures.
While you make these adjustments, check that all the external parts are operating correctly and are in good condition.
Any damaged or broken parts must be replaced by a qualified person before the saw is used.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH
The lower limit position of the blade can be adjusted in order to make groove cuts.
To adjust the cutting depth, unscrew the wing screw (A) and turn the knurled screw (B). After adjusting, tighten the wing screw (A) once
more.
NB: It is advisable to use a test piece to test the cutting depth for groove cuts.
