ADJUSTING THE BEVEL INDICATOR
•Position your saw at 90° by rotating the table.
•Check whether the pointer is at 0°.
•If not, unscrew the pointer fastening screw and adjust it to 0°. Tighten the screw once more.
ADJUSTING THE TABLE LOCKING MECHANISM
To lock the table to angles other than the preset angles, screw the table locking handle to the required angle.
USING THE LASER
Make sure that the saw is switched off and disconnected from the power source before any assem-
bly or adjustment operations.
When adjusting the kerf, do not look directly at the beam or at a reflection of the beam.
Switch the laser off when not in use.
The laser shows the line of cut of your blade directly upon the wood.
To start up the laser, press the switch (A) on the blue housing which is located on the side of the mo-
tor.
To stop the laser, press the same switch again.
The laser is supplied with electricity directly from the power source.
To adjust your laser: use the two screws located on the 2 sides of the laser to move and re-centre the
beam in relation to the line of cut.
STARTING UP AND STOPPING THE SAw
To start the machine, push the locking button (D) and the trigger switch (C) simultaneously. To stop
the machine, release the trigger switch (C).
Press the locking button (D) to operate the blade guard and lower the head.
HAZARDOUS TABLE AREA
The circular working area on the table is a "hazardous area". Never place your hands inside this area
when the tool is operating.
TILTING THE SAw HEAD fOR BEVEL CUTS
1.The cutting head of your slide compound mitre saw may be tilted to cut any bevel cut, from a right angle of 90° to a 45° bevel cut, by uns-
crewing the bevel locking handle, tilting the cutting head to the required angle, and tightening the locking handle once more.
2.Positive stops are provided to quickly position the saw blade at 90 and 45 degrees from the table. Refer to the chapter "Adjusting positive
stops to 90 and 45 degrees for bevel cuts".
90° bevel cut
Before you start to make cuts with your saw, make sure that it has been assembled and adjusted correctly. Make sure that you have read
and understood all the safety instructions in this instruction manual.
1.Select and lock the saw at the required mitre angle.
2.Select and lock the saw at the required bevel angle.
3.Make sure that the size of the workpiece is suited to the capacity of the saw.
4.Clamp the workpiece securely to the saw using the vice.
5.Hold wide workpieces firmly so that they cannot tilt over, or use the support stands.
6.Make sure that your hands are clearly out of the path of the blade.
