ASSEMBLY
1. Align the ribs on the upper end of the lower (motor) shaft assembly (fig.1 &
2, H) with the slots in the Upper (handle) shaft assembly (fig.1 & 2, F).
2. Insert the Lower (motor) shaft assembly into the Upper (handle) shaft
assembly.
3. Use one set of the nut and bolt to secure them together (Fig2, F&H).
To disconnect the two assemblies:
1. Release the nut counter-clockwise.
2. Draw the two assemblies apart.
Guard
1. Place the guard over the spool holder on your trimmer.
2. Push it into the underside of the body (fig. 3, 1). The guard is positioned as
in fig. 4, with the locking tab (fig. 4, O) in the slot.
Press the guard in the right plale, then tighten it by the bolts.

Line Cutting Blade
1. Carefully remove the line cutting blade safety cover (M, fig. 4, 5, & 6).
2. Grip it as shown in fig. 6, taking care not to cut your fingers as the sharp
blade is exposed.
