GPS – Use and Set-up
The "GX107" can be equipped with an external GPS module (Conrad order no. 199310). The
GPS module permits determination of the location of the device anywhere in the world by
satellite (where there is sight contact to a sufficient number of GPS satellites!).
The "GX107" with GPS module can send you its location by SMS. You may check the device
location through your mobile phone from anywhere. The exact location can then be indicated
e.g. in a route planner.
GPS Connection
To connect the GPS module, the plug should be pulled through the larger M16 cable duct and
then plugged into the respective socket of the circuit board. Then the reset button must be used
to restart the "GX107".
The blue LED will start flashing after a few seconds, if the GPS-receiver has contact to the GPS
satellites.
The GPS receiver must have visible, clear and unlimited access to the satellite (see GPS
receiver operating instructions).
If the blue LED does not start flashing, check the connection and alignment of
the GPS receiver and then restart the device (reset button).
Settings
If a GPS receiver is connected to the "GX107", the current GPS coordinates can be requested
by SMS. To do so, use the following SMS command:
