The machine is equipped with self-disconnecting
special carbon brushes. If they are worn, power is
interrupted automatically and the machine comes
to a standstill.
• Clean the tabletop insert [1.9] regularly and re-
move wood chips, dust deposits and workpiece
offcuts from the extraction channel on the chip
defl ector (see Fig. 6).
9.1
Replacing table insert
Never work with a worn table insert (1.9) but
replace it with a new one. To do this, release the
fi ve screws used to fasten the table insert on the
saw table.
A new table insert is supplied without a saw slot.
You will therefore fi rst have to saw a slot follow-
ing installation.
9.2
Adjusting the saw unit
The swivelling range of the saw unit can be read-
justed using the screw (6.2). This may be neces-
sary if the diameter of the saw blade alters during
sharpening or if a new saw blade is fi tted.
– Set the sliding fence (6.4) to 0°.
– Release the lock nut (6.1).
– Swivel the saw unit downwards until it reaches
the fence.
– Adjust the saw unit by turning the screw (6.2)
as shown in illustration 7 (turn to the left - saw
unit is lowered; turn to the right - saw unit is
raised).
The saw unit must not be set so deep that
it can saw into the saw table.
– Tighten the lock nut again.

Accessories

Use only original Festool accessories and Festool
consumable material designed for this machine
because these components are designed spe-
cifi cally for the machine. Using accessories and
consumable material from other suppliers will
most likely affect the quality of your working
results and limit any warranty claims. Machine
wear or your own personal workload may increase
depending on the application. Protect yourself and
your machine, and preserve your warranty claims
by always using original Festool accessories and
Festool consumable material!
The order numbers of the accessories and tools
can be found in the Festool catalogue or on the
Internet under www.festool.com.

responsible recycling centre.

Damage caused by, in particular, natural wear,
overloading, incorrect handling, or damage caused

the warranty.
Furthermore, damage caused by the use of non-

Complaints can only be recognised if the tool is re-
turned while still assembled to the supplier or an
