2. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing an INVACARE quality aid. Our
products are designed and manufactured according to the
most rigorous safety and quality standards, and meet rele-
vant European Directives (MDD 93/42/EEC).
It is imperative to comply with the following instructions for
use and maintenance:
- Check that the product is delivered in good condition
before use.
- If any doubt regarding use restrictions, adjustment or main-
tenance, please contact your local Invacare dealer.
- Do not exceed the maximum user weight as indicated in
the table below or the load weight stated on the product

label.
- Always make sure that the product meets your needs. If
any doubt, please apply to a qualified health advisor.
- Weary, damaged or missing parts should be replaced by a
registered repair specialist.
- Do not leave or store the product outside.
- Regularly check if the product is stable and rigid enough
and if needed, check screw tightening and rubber cap condi-
tion.

3. Warranty

All Invacare toilet aids come with a 2-year manufacturer's
warranty.
Normal wear and tear and improper use do not fall under
the terms of this warranty.
Invacare does not accept any liability for personal injury
which is caused by improper use of the shower seats.

4. General safety

Ensure that the shower seat is installed in keeping with the
specifications and drawings attached.
The shower seat should preferably be installed by a qualified
workman.
For the installation you should use the R6600 tool set provi-
ded by Invacare.
Wall attachment:
The shower seat should be attached to a wall with sufficient
load-bearing strength (brickwork, breeze block or similar). If
not, you should use an adjustable support leg (fitting accesso-
ry R850, R860 or R865); it is also possible to attach the seat
by means of a counter plate (type R6630), only if the wall is
thick enough (see figure 4)
