6.2.2 Installing the water pipe
ATTENTION!
The device must only be used in closed-type, pressurised heating
systems. Use in an open-circuit or drinking water system is not permitted.
In order to safeguard both the minimum compressor runtime
and defrosting, a minimum circulating volume of 30 l must be
ensured in all operating situations (e.g. via a buffer tank).
The water circuit must comply with all relevant European
and national regulations, e.g. IEC/EN 61770.
To prevent the water supply to the indoor unit being shut off
suddenly, do not install any valves between the indoor unit
and the water pipe.
Use Rp 1 1/4" nuts to connect the water inlet and water
outlet, and clean all pipes with tap water prior to installation.
ATTENTION!
Seal the end of the pipe so that no dirt or dust can enter it when the pipe
is passed through the wall.
ATTENTION!
Before connecting the water inlet of the indoor unit (labelled "WATER
IN"), an external filter must be installed (with a minimum mesh size of
0.4 mm [special accessory], field supply).
Connect the inlet of the external filter to the outlet of the
domestic hot water cylinder. Then connect the indoor unit
flow (marked "WATER OUT") to the inlet of the domestic hot
water cylinder. Incorrect connection of the pipe can cause
faults in the indoor unit.
Ensure that the water circuit pipes are insulated in order to
reduce heat loss.
After installation work has been completed, the system must
be tested for leaks.

6.2.3 Installing the refrigerant pipe of the
indoor unit
ATTENTION!
Install the refrigerant pipes correctly before switching on the
compressor. If the refrigerant pipes are not firmly in place and the valves
are open when the compressor is operated, air will be drawn in. This
increases the pressure in the refrigerant circuit, which causes a risk of
injury.
1)
Do not forget to push the union nut (located on the
connecting piece of the pipe feed-through) onto the copper
pipe prior to flanging.
2)
Do not use a pipe wrench to open the refrigerant pipe, as
this can cause the union nut to break and cause leakage.
Instead, use a suitable spanner or ring spanner.
3)
Connecting the pipe:
Align the pipe in the centre and slightly tighten the union nut
by hand.
When tightening the union nut with a torque wrench,
observe the torque values specified in the table.

NOTE
Use a torque wrench to tighten the union nut as shown. If the union nut is
overtightened, it may break over time and allow refrigerant to escape.
