1.1 Important information
ATTENTION!
Dimplex split heat pumps feature a single-phase electrical connection
(230 V). They do not automatically meet the applicable technical
connection conditions. Written consent should therefore be obtained
from the utility company prior to connection. A utility block can be
implemented via a contactor provided by the customer which
disconnects all power to the heat pump.
ATTENTION!
Assembly and installation work must be carried out by a cooling
technology specialist.
ATTENTION!
Carry out installation work in strict compliance with these installation and
operating instructions.
ATTENTION!
If the indoor unit is mounted 4 or more metres higher than the outdoor
unit, a cooling technology specialist must perform a separate check to
ensure that the devices for conveying the oil up and down the pipes have
been installed correctly in the hot gas pipe.
ATTENTION!
Install the device in a location that is capable of withstanding the weight
of the system.
ATTENTION!
Use only the parts supplied or specified.
ATTENTION!
The device must only be used in closed-type, pressurised heating
systems. Use in an open-circuit or drinking water system is not permitted.
ATTENTION!
Install the refrigerant pipes correctly before switching on the
compressor. If the refrigerant pipes are not firmly in place and the valves
are open when the compressor is operated, air will be drawn in. This
increases the pressure in the refrigerant circuit, which causes a risk of
injury.
ATTENTION!
This device must be correctly earthed. The earth connection must not be
linked to gas or water pipes or to the earth connection of lightning
arresters or telephones. Inadequate earthing can result in electric shocks
or leaks if the device develops a fault.
ATTENTION!
Do not use combined indoor/outdoor cables. Use a special connecting
cable for inside/outside and ensure that the connections for each are
secure. Clamp the cable so that no external pressure can be applied to
the unit. Overheating or fire may occur if connection or fastening are not
carried out in an entirely fault free manner.
ATTENTION!
Once installation is complete, ensure that no refrigerant is escaping.

ATTENTION!
The circuit-breakers (residual current circuit breaker) integrated in the
device do not comply with country-specific safety precautions regarding
residual current. As a result, these components must be installed on site.
ATTENTION!
Condensed water that forms during operation must be drained off in a
frost-free manner.
ATTENTION!
Adhere strictly to the steps described below in order to perform the
evacuation procedure correctly.
ATTENTION!
Stop the compressor before disconnecting the refrigerant pipes during
evacuation. If the refrigerant pipes are disconnected during compressor
operation and the valves are open, air will be drawn in. This increases the
pressure in the refrigerant circuit, which causes a risk of injury.
ATTENTION!
Before opening the device, ensure that all circuits are disconnected from
the power supply.
ATTENTION!
Any work on the heat pump must only be performed by an authorised and
qualified after-sales service technician.

intended for use by non-professionals for heating shops, offices,
hotels and other similar working environments, agricultural
establishments and hotels, guesthouses and other residential
buildings.
The construction and design of the heat pump complies with all
EC directives listed in the CE declaration of conformity.
When connecting the heat pump to the power supply, the
relevant VDE, EN and IEC standards are to be adhered to. Any
further connection requirements stipulated by local utility
companies must also be observed.
When connecting the heating system, all applicable regulations
must also be adhered to.
Persons, especially children, who are not capable of operating
