Installation

Before carrying out the following operations, if not otherwise stated, always disconnect the unit from the
power supply!
Installation process must be carried out only by qualified personnel!

Opening package

If the package does not present evident defects, please control the contents of the box, following the list shown in
chapter Introduction, Contents of the package (page 3).
Packing material has to be disposed by the installer following waste disposal procedures operative in the Country of
use.

Checking keyboard operating data

Before proceeding with the installation, please check keyboard operating data label, as described in Operating
data on rating plate (page 4). Modifications of the units, if not described in this manual, are not allowed: the use of
unsuitable devices can lead to serious risk for the safety of the personnel and the security of the plant.

Turning On and Off the keyboard

Before connecting the unit to power supply:
• Check if the goods supplied correspond to the required specifications examining the rating plates according to the
chapter Operating data on rating plate.
• Make sure that the keyboard and the other elements of the plant are closed in order to avoid an accidental contact
with powered parts
• During configuration process, the cable between the keyboard and the matrix is not necessary, with the exception of
the connection test. Please, keep it disconnect until it is explicitly required.
• The keyboard and the other components of the plant must be located on a solid and sufficiently large support.
• Power cords must not hamper the normal operations of the installer
• Check if power supply sources and extension cables are compatible with system consumption.
TURNING ON: plug Mini Dini 4 poles connector in the rear of the keyboard. The keyboard has no switch; plug
it into the outlet.
TURNING OFF: pull out the plug from power network.
