KEYPLUS description

KEYPLUS keyboard is a professional product for security and safety applications. In a security system the
keyboard controls the video matrix SW164OSM and all alarm conditions.
Specifications:
• Display LCD 16 digits X 2 rows for the control of the operations
• RS232 or Current Loop communication mode
• Warning LED activation in case of alarm or communication fault
• Buzzer activation in case of alarm or communication fault
• Variable baud rate for data transmission systems (SW164OSM matrix and DTRX receiver)
• Ease of use: most common functions can be activated by pressing a few buttons
• Full keyboard configuration by on-display setup
• Communication mode selectable from display (RS232 / Current Loop)
• The keyboard is able to control both versions of SW164 matrix (Standard and On Screen Menu)
• Different menu languages on-board
• Test menu for the communications towards the matrix
• Autotest for the communication channels
• Enabling/disabling of inputs and outputs selectable for each single keyboard
• Three password levels: connection, alarm reset, setup

Security

System security is guaranteed by a three-level password system. Each password can be easily configured in any
keyboard:
• connection password: requested to prevent access by unauthorized personnel, when the keyboard is turned on
• alarm reset password: requested when a keyboard calls an "alarm reset" operation
• setup password: requested each time a setup operation has begun (by keyboard or matrix)

Password management

If it is necessary to key in a password, in order to unlock the keyboard wait-state, the unit will wait for 10 seconds in
order to permit the operator to press the first digit (from 0 to 9) and 5 seconds for the following ones. At the end of
such waiting time, if the password has not been completely keyed in, the operation is considered "wrong".
• A mistake in typing the connection password causes a keyboard lockout for 25 secs; after this time the prompt of
request will appear again.
• Passwords can be disabled if their value is set to 000000.

Warning LED and buzzer

Keyboard is provided with two warning LED's, which blink automatically in case of:
• interruption of the communication between keyboard and matrix (between the effective interrumption of the
communications and the blinking of the led there is a brief delay, during which the keyboard tries to restore the
connection with the matrix)
• matrix alarm.
Internal buzzer can be set to advise you when the fault is still up.

Devices connectable to KEYPLUS keyboard

• Video Matrix SW164OSM: it lets 16 video inputs switching on 4 monitor outputs, handling up to 16 alarm signals. A
single video matrix can be connected to a maximum of 4 control keyboards (mixed configurations DCS2 /
KEYPLUS are permitted). Please, refer to SW164OSM instruction manual for a complete description of the matrix.
