Installation example
This is an example of a system controlled by three operators with a monitor for each one: they are controlling video
switching and alarm signals. Two of them are also controlling a group of receivers for P&T and lens motors:

Wires

In the above diagram we have used wires of different types :
video cable:
Coax cable RG 59 or equivalent.
For long distances we suggest a twisted pair communication system.
multipolar cable:
Each control function is enabled /disabled by an internal relay.
Use following indications to establish the number of wires into multipolar cables:
• 7 wires aimed to handle P&T (230 V~ or 24V~): right, left, up, down, autopan, common, ground (only 230 V~
version)
• 6 wires for lenses handling, polarity inversion mode (zoom wide, zoom tele, focus near, focus, far, iris open, iris
close)
• 4 wires for lenses handling, common wire mode (zoom, focus, iris, common)
• 2 wires for preset handling and 1 more for each preset function. For auxiliary functions as wiper and washer 2
wires each are necessary. For further information please refer to DTRX instruction manual.
cable for digital data transmission:
Two pair of twisted pair wires, minimun diameter 0.6mm (or section 0.22 mm² AWG 24):
one pair for TX / Ground plus one pair for RX / Ground.
Maximun connection distance: approximately 15mt (RS232) and 1500mt (Current Loop).
Lenght of phone cable supplied is about 1.5 m: to reach bigger distances please use junction boxes as RJ,
following the procedure described in chapter Installation, Wires and plugs (page 8).
