Connect the test probes (R) across the circuit or component
being measured.

If the resistance is high or the circuit is open, OL appears on
the display (F).
•
If the resistance is <50 Ω, a beeper provides a continuous
tone to alert that low resistance is being measured. The
actual resistance reading will be shown on the display (F).

direction, the voltage drop across the diode (typically
0.400 V to 0.700 V) appears on the display (F). Open diodes
will read OL in both directions and a shorted diode will read
close to 0 V in both directions.
