d) Alarm mode
• If required, an acoustic and visual alarm can be triggered when a certain threshold value is
exceeded.
• In normal display mode, one of the three indicators for air quality will appear under the CO2
reading:
- GOOD (0 – 800 ppm)
- NORMAL (800 – 1200 ppm)
- POOR ( > 1200 ppm).
• Change these values as follows:
1. Press and hold the button ALARM (1) for approx. three seconds. The display will now show
the preset threshold value, which triggers an alarm signal when it is exceeded. Next to the
reading, the alarm icon
will flash.
2. Adjust the threshold value according to your requirements using the ▲(2) and ▼(3) buttons.
The value can be changed in increments of 20.
3. Press the button ALARM (1). The display will show the reading "800 ppm", with the indicators
GOOD and NORMAL flashing below.
4. Adjust the value according to your requirements using the ▲and ▼buttons. The value can
be changed in increments of 20.
5. Press the button ALARM (1). The display will show the reading "1200 ppm", with the
indicators NORMAL and POOR flashing below.
6. Adjust the value according to your requirements using the ▲and ▼buttons. The value can
be changed in increments of 20.
7. Press the button ESC (5) to return to the normal display mode.
8. Activate/deactivate the alarm by briefly pressing the button ALARM (1) while in normal
display mode. The alarm function will only be activated if the alarm icon
to the CO2 reading.
9. When the reading exceeds the preset threshold, a warning signal sounds and the buttons
below the display flash red, provided the alarm function has been activated. Press the button
ALARM (1) to turn the alarm off.
e) MAX/MIN values
1. Press the button MAX MIN (4). The display will now show the maximum values of this
measurement cycle. The indicator "MAX" will appear next to or below the readings.
2. Press the button MAX MIN. The display will now show the minimum values of this
measurement cycle. The indicator "MIN" will appear next to or below the readings.
3. Press the button ESC (5) to return to the normal display mode.
4. The MIN / MAX measurement values are reset when the product is turned off with the
button
(12) button or the power adaptor is disconnected from the mains outlet.
f) Hold function
1. Press the button H (11) to freeze the current readings on the display. The left side of the
display will show "HOLD".
2. While the Hold function is activated, no other button will function (except the on/off button).
3. Press the button H again to return to the normal display mode.
g) Switching temperature unit
Press the button ºC/ºF (10) to switch between the temperature units Celsius and Fahrenheit.
h) Backlight
1. Press any button below the display to activate the backlight.
2. Press the button ESC (5) to turn the backlight off again.
3. The backlight will turn off automatically after approx. 20 seconds of inactivity.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Apart from an occasional clean this product is maintenance-free.
• Before cleaning, disconnect the product from the mains.
• Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use any abrasive or
chemical agents or detergents containing solvents.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
