WARNING
Risk of burns by depositing surgical instruments on the patient!
Unintentional HF activation may be caused by accidental pressing of the foot switch.

• If the electrosurgical instrument is deposited on the patient, burns may result.
— In the intervals between use, do not deposit temporarily unused instruments on the
patient!
Coagulate only when the instrument's blades are visible. Avoid touching other metallic
•
instruments!
WARNING
Risk of fire or explosion from flammable or explosive substances!
Materials saturated with oxygen, such as cotton, gauze or insulating blankets, may catch fire
from the sparks that occur during the intended use of the electrosurgical device.
Sparks in the vicinity of flammable gases (e.g. explosive anesthetic gases) can lead to
explosions.
There is the additional risk of accumulation of flammable liquids under the patient or in
anatomical cavities and recesses.
Never use the instruments in the presence of combustible or explosive substances!

CAUTION
Risk of injury from improper application!
To clean the working area of the scissors during use, only a moist swab may be used
•
(e.g. saturated with physiological saline).
Unintentional activation of HF current can lead to tissue injury in the wrong place and
•
damage to the equipment.
• Alternating current paths can lead to burns in places where the patient or user comes into
contact with uninsulated components.
Unintentional perforation of organs can lead to sudden heavy bleeding.
•
No user repairs are permitted. If the functioning of the instruments is impaired, contact
•
the Martin Service Center, see section 1.6 "Hotline", page 23.
