4) Using and handling the electric tool
a) Do not overload the electric tool. Use the elec-
tric tool intended for your work. The suitable
electric tool allows you to work better and more
safely in the indicated power range.
b) Do not use an electric tool whose switch is de-
fective. An electric tool that cannot be switched
on or off is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Remove the plug from the socket and/or take
out a removable battery before setting the
device, changing insertion tool parts or put-
ting the electric tool away. These precautionary
measures will prevent the electric tool for starting
unintentionally.
d) Keep unused electric tools out of the reach
of children. Do not let people use the electric
tool who are not familiar with it or who have
not read these instructions. Electric tools are
dangerous if they are used by inexperienced peo-
ple.
e) Maintain electric tools and tool attachments
with care. Check whether moving parts func-
tion properly and do not get stuck and wheth-
er parts are broken or are damaged and thus
adversely affect the electric tool function.
Have damaged parts repaired before using
the electric tool. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained electric tools.
f) Always keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cut-
ting edges seize up less often and are easier to
guide.
g) Use electric tools, accessories, insertion tool,
etc. according to these instructions. Take the
working conditions and the activity to be car-
ried out into consideration. Using electric tools
for applications other than the intended uses can
lead to dangerous situations.
h) Keep the handles and gripping surfaces dry,
clean and free of oil and grease.
Slippery handles and gripping surfaces prevent
safe operation and control of the electrical tool in
unforeseen situations.
5) Service
a) Only have your electric tool repaired by quali-
fied specialists and only with original spare
parts. This ensures that safety of the electric tool
is maintained.

Safety instructions for cut-off machines
1) Cut-off machine safety warnings
a. Position yourself and bystanders away from
the plane of the rotating wheel. The protective
hood is intended to protect the operator from frag-
ments and accidental contact with the grinding
wheel.
b. Use only bonded reinforced or diamond cut-
off wheels for your power tool. Just because an
accessory can be attached to your power tool, it
does not assure safe operation.
c. The rated speed of the accessory must be at
least equal to the maximum speed marked on
the power tool. Accessories that rotate faster
than permitted can break and fly off at high speed.
d. Wheels must be used only for recommended
applications. For example: do not grind with
the side of a cut-off wheel.Wheels must be
used only for recommended applications. For
example: do not grind with the side of a cut-off
wheel. Abrasive cut-off wheels are intended for
peripheral grinding, side forces applied to these
wheels may cause them to shatter.
e. Always use undamaged wheel flanges that are
of correct diameter for your selected wheel.
Proper wheel flanges support the wheel thus re-
ducing the possibility of wheel breakage.
f. The outside diameter and the thickness of your
accessory must be within the capacity rating
of your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories
cannot be adequately guarded or controlled.
g. Grinding discs and flanges must fit exactly on
your electrical tool's grinding spindle. Inser-
tion tools that do not fit exactly on your electrical
tool's grinding spindle rotate unevenly, vibrate very
strongly and can cause a loss of control.
h. Do not use damaged wheels. Before each use,
inspect the wheels for chips and cracks. If the
power tool or wheel is dropped, inspect for
damage or install an undamaged wheel. After
inspecting and installing the wheel, position
yourself and bystanders away from the plane
of the rotating wheel and run the power tool at
maximum no load speed for one minute. Dam-
aged wheels will normally break apart during this
test time.
i. Wear personal protective equipment. Depend-
ing on application, use face shield, safety gog-
gles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear
dust mask, hearing protectors, gloves and
shop apron capable of stopping small abrasive
or workpiece fragments. The eye protection must
be capable of stopping flying debris generated by
various operations. The dust mask or respirator
must be capable of filtrating particles generated
by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high in-
tensity noise may cause hearing loss.
