eBike Ready

Sqlab products bearing the "eBike Ready" rating are suitable for use on pedelecs from the point of view of function, ergonomics and
operational stability (in accordance with the standards DIN EN ISO 4210 and DIN EN ISO 15194).
The SQlab Label eBike Ready refers exclusively to the use on pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h. The eBike Ready label can
be found on the packaging, the user manual and the product page of your SQlab product.
Exchange of the SQlab M-D Line saddles on Pedelec25
E-bikes and pedelecs with CE mark and pedal assistance up to 25 km/h are covered by the Machinery Directive, therefore components of
these bicycles may not be easily replaced or modified. In order to clarify the situation, a guideline for replacing E-bike/Pedelec 25 parts
has been jointly released by the associations Zweirad-Industrie-Verband (ZIV) and Verbund Service und Fahrrad (VSF) in cooperation with
the Zedler-Institut and the Bundesinnungverbsband Fahrrad (BIV).
The guideline clearly regulates which bicycle dealers and workshops are allowed to replace parts on these vehicles and for which parts
they require approval from vehicle manufacturers or system suppliers. As such, it can be regarded as a recommended course of action.
Replacing the M-D Line saddles on a Pedelec25 is possible based on the recommendations of the "Guidelines for the replacement of
components in CE-marked e-bikes/pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h" of the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband (ZIV) and Verbund
Service und Fahrrad (VSF) in cooperation with the Zedler-Institut and the Bundesinnungsverband Fahrrad (BIV), provided the displace-
ment towards the rear to the series/original use area is not greater than 20 mm. A changed load distribution beyond the intended
adjustment range may cause critical steering characteristics. The length of the seat stays on the saddle frame and the saddle shape also
play a role.

Exchange of the SQlab M-D Line saddles on Pedelec45
Component replacement of the M-D Line saddles on fast pedelecs, so-called S-Pedelec, which are classified as motor vehicles and are
subject to EU Directive 2002/24 / E6 or EU Regulation No. 168/2013, is possible based on the guideline " Component replacement on
S-pedelecs - fast e-bikes / pedelecs with a pedal assist up to 45 km/h" of the Bundesinnungsverband Fahrrad (BIV),
TÜV Rheinland, velotech.de, Verbund Service und Fahrrad (VSF), Zedler- Institute and the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband (ZIV), provided
that the offset to the rear of the standard/original application area is not greater than 20 mm. A changed load distribution beyond the
