The SQlab active saddle technology

Depending on the model, the SQlab M-D Line active saddles are equipped with 2 or 4 suspension sticks.
Structure of the saddle
Due to its construction, the saddle allows the pelvis to move in a horizontal plane. The execution of the so called pelvic swing is thus
guaranteed - just as in natural walking.

The pelvic swing allows our musculoskeletal system, which has been developed over millions of years, to achieve a physiologically
correct, adjusted pedalling movement. The possibility of pelvic movement therefore minimises the risk of developing discomfort in the
lower lumbar spine, pelvis and hips.
Pedalling becomes more relaxed and rounder, preventing premature fatigue. This is an advantage because our skeletal system is not
precisely symmetrical. The dynamic saddle design compensates for variations such as leg length differences.
The saddle has room to move in the horizontal plane. As a result, less tilted load is placed on the intervertebral and the pressure is re-
duced near the outer edge. The disc is thus less exposed to potential injury. Finally, the possibility of slightly unstable, dynamic sitting
ensures constantly changing, variable seating positions. This is an important factor to prevent the pressure damage of intervertebral
discs and facet joints caused by unilateral positions.
The SQlab active saddle technology enables a physiological movement of the pelvis. This ensures round pedalling that can relieve disc
and facet joints. This can contribute to a more relaxed riding and to the prevention of discomfort in the lower lumbar spine.
