control settings (counter-clockwise and clockwise winding,
number of revolutions, sleep phase). Use the AUTO winding mode
if you do not know the correct settings for your particular watch. The
rotor weight in older watches can be slightly stiff and may not always
move on every revolution. If necessary, increase the number of
revolutions or have your watched professionally serviced.
New batteries are not always fully charged (only 80-90%). Furthermore,
frequent use of the speed-winding mode, high revolution speeds and/or
frequent use of the display can lead to increased energy consumption.

OVERWIND AN AUTOMATIC WATCH?
A fully-wound watch has an average power reserve of 36 hours. However,
automatic watches worn in particular by very active wearers or stored in
conventional watch winders are always fully wound due to the constant
movement. The safety clutch in the spring housing prevents over-winding.
When the wearer takes off the watch the mainspring can unwind.
