Wall brackets
• If the wall brackets are mounted with screw anchor systems, use only building-authority
approved screw anchor systems. In the event of uncertainty, contact an expert for the
planning of structural framework or a specialist consultant from a company which
manufactures screw anchors. The attachment of the individual wall bracket must be
capable of withstanding a total extraction force of
fall arrester system, an impact force of
scope of delivery.
Sockets
In order to deflect the load as far as possible into the ladder stile, the socket should be
attached beneath the topmost wall bracket, if possible.
Wall-mounting right/left:
• Mount the socket as near as possible to the ladder.
Wall-mounting, centre:
• The socket must be attached in the centre of the rungs.
Rung-mounting, centre (Order No. 47266):
• Attach socket between wall and ladder to leave as much space as possible for the
access.
• The socket may only be attached in the centre on ladders with a width of 400 mm.
Access rail
The distance between the upper edge of the topmost rung and the upper edge of the
landing must be 135 mm. Where applicable, pay attention to uneven or sloping surfaces
around the entry point.
• After assembling the product, check the following:
> Have all parts included in the scope of delivery been fitted?
> Is the shaft ladder attached in perpendicular position (adjustable wall brackets)?
> Are the wall anchors flush, and is the clearance between shaft ladder and wall
≤
150 mm at all points?
> Is each ladder part fitted with at least 4 wall brackets (= 2 sets)?
> Are the wall brackets attached with a vertical spacing of
> Are all surfaces undamaged? Restore the anti-corrosion protection if surfaces are
damaged.
> Have appropriate measures to prevent unauthorised use been taken?
• Only use the shaft ladder system if it is in technically perfect condition.
• Make sure that no unauthorised persons have access to the shaft ladder system.
