Function

The ZSB-1/8-B control block for two-hand start is a pneumatic AND gate.
If the inputs 1 and 1 are pressurised within max. 0.5 s one after the other, the control block for

two-hand start will switch through: an output signal is present at port 2. Control takes place via two
external 3/2-way push-button valves.
– Outlet port 2 is pressurised if both push-button valves are activated.
– Outlet port 2 is depressurised if no push-button valves are activated or if just one push-button valve
is activated. The system exhausts from 2 to 3.
– A restart is only possible if no push-button valves are activated.

Application

Use for intended purpose
The control block for two-hand start is exclusively intended for triggering a (synchronous) simultaneous
control signal via two push-button valves separately from each other.
This ensures that both hands of the operator are outside the danger area of the machine when a
control signal to start is enabled.
