Exposure times of 10, 20, 30, and 40 sec are available.
The adequate exposure time of the product at hand
is stated in the product's Instructions for Use.
Select the exposure time by pressing the button in
the dark-blue field.
- The selected exposure time is indicated by the
4 green LEDs.
- Each time the button is pressed, the setting
advances to the next (higher) value; from 40 sec
the exposure time setting returns to 10 sec.
Keeping the button depressed the display scrolls
through the available settings.
- While exposure is ongoing, the button for
selection of the exposure time is deactivated.

Positioning the Light Guide
Rotate the light guide into the optimal position for
polymerization.
To make full use of the light intensity provided, place
the light guide as close to the filling as possible.
Avoid directly contacting the filling material!
- Keep the light guide clean at all times to obtain
- Damaged light guides substantially reduce the
Removing and Inserting the Light Guide from/into
the Handpiece
To remove the light guide from the handpiece
strongly pull towards the front of the device.
Push the light guide into the handpiece until it snaps
into position.
Measurement of Light Intensity
The light intensity can be reliably determined only
with the charger of the Elipar FreeLight unit! The light
testing area is situated in the area of the charger
accepting the handpiece. Because of differences in the
light sources used and arrangement of the components,
determination of the light intensity with the light testing
components of other units yields erroneous results.
Caution!
Measure the light intensity with the turbo light guide
only!
Clean the test area with a wet cloth, if required,
taking care not to bend or damage the charging
contacts!
Without applying pressure, place the light guide on
the test area such that the light-emitting opening of
the rod is level with the test area.
Activate the lamp by pressing the Start button.
- All 5 blue LEDs come ON for approx.1 sec.
- After this period of time, the number of illumi-
4 illuminated LEDs represent 40 sec of exposure
time. After every 10 sec of exposure, one of the
LEDs is turned off, i.e. 3 LEDs correspond to
30 sec of exposure time remaining, 2 LEDs to
20 sec of exposure time remaining, etc.

intensity: 5 LEDs = 100%, 4 LEDs = 80%,
3 LEDs = 60%, 2 LEDs = 40%, 1 LED = 20%.
