14. If the power cord of this appliance
is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or his after
sales service department or per-
son with similar qualifications, to
prevent hazards. Disconnect the
power plug only after the fans in
the appliance have stopped tur-
ning.
Information on setup and operation of
the appliance
15. Place the appliance on a solid,
level and dry surface. For safety
reasons, never place the appli-
ance on hot surfaces, metal sur-
faces or surfaces covered with
textiles.
16. Maintain sufficient distance to
objects which react to magnetic
forces, e.g. bank cards, radios,
televisions, video cassettes, etc.
17. Do not use the appliance out-
doors.
18. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids. Protect the
appliance from moisture.
19. During operation, leave sufficient
space between the appliance and
walls and other flammable objects
such as curtains.
20. Do not operate the appliance in
the vicinity of heat sources.
21. Before heating, route the power
cord so that it does not come into
contact with hot parts of the appli-
ance.
22. Installation of the appliance in a
worktop is not permitted.
23. Use only pots and pans which are
suitable for induction cooking.
24. The appliance heats very quickly.
Heating empty pots can damage
the appliance and the pots them-
selves.
25. Switch the appliance on only if a
pot with contents is on the burner.
Do not overfill pots, to prevent boi-
ling over.
26. Do not leave any metal objects
such as knives or forks on the
burner, since they could become
hot when the appliance is swit-
ched on.
27. Do not heat closed metal cans;
they could explode.
28. Make sure that the ventilation
slots in the appliance are unobst-
ructed at all times.
29. Do not move the appliance while
it is in operation. Before moving
the appliance, switch it off and
remove any pots or pans.
30. Do not allow objects to fall onto
the glass cooktop – danger of
breakage! If the glass cooktop is
cracked or otherwise damaged, do
not continue to use the appliance;
it must be sent in to our after sales
service department for repair.
31. The appliance should not be ope-
rated for more than 4 hours conti-
nuously. If used longer than this,
switch it off for at least 30 minu-
tes in between.
32. The glass cooktop can become hot
from the heat radiated from pots
or pans. Therefore, do not touch
the surface immediately after coo-
king.
33. Do not drag pots across the control
buttons, since they could become
damaged.
34. Do not place any objects such as
foils, etc. between the pot and the
burner.
35. The pot, when filled, should not
be heavier than 4 kg to prevent
damage to the cooktop.
36. Do not place any hot pots or pans
on the control panel.
37. Before moving or cleaning the
appliance after use, always switch
off and unplug the appliance and
allow it to cool.
