Before getting started

Note: Hold the UP button
button pressed down. This will speed up the

process of setting the values.
Inserting / replacing
the battery
The product is supplied with a battery already
in place. Before the first use, pull the battery
insulation strip out from between the battery
and the battery compartment
If the scales do not appear to work, check that
the battery has been inserted correctly and
reinsert it if necessary.
Note: The display indicates when it is time to
replace the battery. When you step on to the
scales and the battery is too weak, the LC dis-
play shows „Lo" and the scales switch off

automatically. If you see this message, replace
the exhausted battery with a new battery of
the same type. When you insert the battery,
make sure that the contacts do not get bent.

Bringing into use

Enter your personal data

1. For model 103803-14-01 / 103803-14-02: Press
the SET button to switch on the scales. Press

For model Z31332B: Press the ON / OFF but-

After you have made the settings, the display will
return automatically to the selection of the User ID.
You can either make settings for further users or
measure your body weight.
Note: The scales switch off automatically after
about 10 seconds if they are not used.

Use

Measuring the body weight

Tip: Weigh yourself at the same time of day (pref-
erably in the morning) after visiting the toilet, with
an empty stomach and without clothing to ensure
that your results are compatible.
Place the scales down on a solid, flat horizontal
surface.
Step onto the platform
Moving during the weighing process can lead
to discrepancies in the results.
The scales will start to measure immediately.
After blinking twice, the weight display will show
the result.
Note: The scales are overloaded if the display
shows "Err". Observe the maximum capacity
of 180 kg / 396 lbs / 28 st.
Step off the platform. The scales switch off
automatically after about 20 seconds. Until
then the weight measurement remains visible.
Note: The standard unit of weight is kilogram (kg).
The factory default setting for the scales as supplied
