Project download

The HMI Designer can be used to load the project and update the firmware at the same time.
Always update the firmware:
!
– When downloading a project into the keypad for the first time.
– After an update of the "HMI Designer" planning tool.
To do this, open the "HMI Designer" and select the "Firmware" option from the "Download"
!
menu.
The firmware will be updated automatically when a new driver is assigned to the project in the
!
keypad.
Please bear in mind that the download process will be considerably slower whilst the firmware
!
is being updated.
What to do
1. Switch on the PC and start the HMI Designer.
2. 2. Switch on the supply voltage for the keypad.
The unit is initialised.
3. After initialisation, select the system page. For
this, touch the display in the
•
&
top right and bottom left
•
(
top left and bottom right
The corner to be touched first must not contain
a field for a selctable object.
The system page appears.
4. 4. Touch the field "TRAN PAGE"
The transfer page appears.
If "WAITING FOR DOWNLOAD" is
displayed, the keypad is ready for
receiving data from the PC.
5. Load the project needed from the HMI Designer
to the keypad.
+ "HMI Designer - Getting Started"
"PROGRAMMING MODE" is displayed while downloading data.
6. After the download, the keypad is ready for operation and can exchange data with other participants
through the system bus.

The project remains saved after the supply voltage has been disconnected.
