9) After the laminate hardens, remove the laminated blank from the plaster
model. To do so, expose the lamination dummy with a knife and remove
it.
10) Remove the Plastaband from the screws.
11) Remove the two flat head screws of the lamination bar.
12) Loosen the lamination dummy screws and remove the cover.
13) Expose the removal edges with the oscillating saw.
14) Remove the components from the plaster.
5.2 Assembly
Mounting the foot stirrup
1) Check the fit of the bearing bushing in the foot stirrup. If it is missing,
insert a bearing bushing into the foot stirrup.
2) Position two axial washers on the foot stirrup, using one axial washer per
side.
3) Slide the foot stirrup together with the two axial washers into the base
body of the joint. To do so, the stops of the axial washers must be posi­
tioned in the receivers on the underside of the joint.
4) Make sure that the axial washers prevent direct contact between the met­
al basic piece and the foot stirrup.
5) Slide the split-pin bolt through the base body, axial washers and foot stir­
rup from the rear.
6) Install the joint screw from the front with a T 30 wrench.
7) Before handing over the finished orthosis to the patient, secure the
screw connection with Loctite 241 and a tightening torque 8 Nm.
Mounting the bar
1) Insert the lamination bar into the base body of the joint.
2) Secure it with the two flat head screws and a T 30 wrench, securing the
screw connections with Loctite 241 and a tightening torque of 8 Nm.
5.3 Adaptation
The joint is adapted to the needs of the patient through the individual com­
bination of the "adjustable stop" and "compression spring stop" modules.
Prerequisite: The foot stirrup is mounted in the joint.
