Carry out the connection of the device  to the controller / other mod-
ules in the order described below:
The KM2 Communication module comes with the VBus

Î In order to open the housing, unscrew the screw and remove the upper part
of the housing.
Î Connect the 2-wire cable (bell wire) to the 2 VBus

Î Close the housing.

mains adapter must be 100 ... 240 V~ (50 ... 60 Hz).

The KM2 Communication module is connected to the controller via the pre-con-
nected VBus
®
cable. The corresponding terminal allocation is described in the con-
troller manual.
The VBus
cable can be extended using the terminal block included and a 2-wire
®
cable.
With the RESOL VBus
and the communication module are possible.
Connection terminals of the Communication module
TheVBus
®
cable is pre-connected to the KM2 terminals (A) and (B). A further
module such as a SD3, extension module or alarm module can be connected to
the terminals (C) and (D).

LAN connection

The KM2 Communication module can be connected to a router by using a net-
work cable (CAT5e, RJ45 or similar).
Î Connect the network cable included to the LAN connector of the router and
to the LAN connector of the KM2.
For the next step of commissioning, see chap. 5 on page 23.
The LAN connector is located on the front side of the device and supports trans-
fer rates of up to 100 MBit per second.
