Ambient conditions

‰ Secure yourself and the welding machine when work-
ing in elevated or inclined areas.
‰ The machine may only be connected to a properly
grounded mains supply. (Three-phase four-wire sys-
tem with grounded neutral conductor or single phase-
three-wire system with grounded neutral conductor)
socket and extension cable must have a functional
protective conductor.
‰ Wear correct protective clothing, leather gloves and
leather apron.
‰ Protect the welding area with curtains or mobile
screens.
‰ Do not use this machine to thaw frozen water pipes
or cables.
‰ In closed containers, under cramped conditions, and
in high electrical risk areas, only use machines with
the S sign.
‰ Switch off the machine during breaks and close the
valve of the gas cylinder.
‰ Secure the gas cylinder with a chain to prevent it fall-
ing over.
‰ Disconnect the mains plug from the mains before
changing the place of installation or making repairs to
the machine.
Please heed the safety regulations which apply to your
country. Subject to change.

General regulation of use

The device is intended to be used in trade and industry.
It is portable and may be operated with both, mains
power supply and an electric power generator.
This machine is built for MMA-welding.
With the TIG volve torch the machine can be used for
TIG welding (DC current) for following material:
– mild steels, low- and high alloyed steels
– copper and its alloys
– nickel and its alloys
– material like titanium, zircon, tantalum
The device is not destined for AC-TIG welding of alu-
minium and manganese.

Unit protection

This unit is protected electronically against overloading.
But do not trigger the main switch during welding.
09.16
The device is cooled by means of a fan. In case the
cooling is insufficient, the electronic components may
overheat and get consequently damaged.
‰ Take care for free access in the area of the ventilation
slots.
‰ Do not put any objects through the ventilation slots.
You may damage the fan.
‰ Never weld if the fan is out of order. Call the service to
repair the device.
Do not use fuses of higher amperage than printed on
the identification plate.
Connect the workpiece with the groundcable to the
machine.
To transport the device, carry it with the strap in horizon-
tal position.
Duty cycle (ED)
The duty cycle (ED) is based on a working cycle of 10
minutes. Consequently ED 60% means a welding time
of 6 minutes. After that period the device shall cool down
for 4 minutes.
Provided that you exceed the duty cycle ED, the build-
in thermal control switches off the unit. As soon as the
device has sufficiently cooled down, it is switched on
automatically
