7. CHANGING THE BATTERY
The clamp must be completely disconnected before changing the battery and it

must not enclose any conductor.
Check that the switch is in the OFF position.

Undo the tool-release screw at the back of the clamp and slide the cover into the
I
handle extension.
Connect up the battery (9 V alkaline battery), then replace the cover.

8.1 SETTING ZERO
It is only necessary to set zero for measurements of DC current or for measurements
on AC with a DC component.
ΠConnect the E6N clamp to a
multimeter (black lead to the
common and red lead to the
«Volt» input).
Place the function/range
switch of the multimeter on
the mV DC position. Choose
a measurement extent that
has a resolution of 10 mV.
Ž Place the function switch
(located on the handle) on
position 1 A/V.
Using the thumbwheel, display on the multimeter a value as close as possible to 0.
