Step sweep - (Touch screen)
Requirement
Continuously sweep an RF signal with a frequency ranging from 500MHz to 1GHz and amplitude
from -20dBm to -10dBm; in 100 linear steps with a 1 second dwell time between each step; using
touch screen only.
Starting conditions
Before starting, reset the instrument to default settings as described in 'Initial Conditions'.
Touch the Sweep button.
Enter sweep menu

Touch the Start Freq. parameter window, touch again to edit.
Set start and stop frequency
Touch 500, then MHz, followed by OK.

Touch the Stop Freq. parameter window, touch again to edit.
•
Touch 1, then GHz, followed by OK.
•

Touch the Start Ampl. parameter window, touch again to edit.
Set start and stop amplitude
Touch +/- to show the - symbol.

Touch 20, then dBm, followed by OK.
•
Touch the Stop Ampl. parameter window, touch again to edit.
•
Touch +/- to show the - symbol.
•
Touch 10, then dBm, followed by OK.
•

Touch the Length parameter window, touch again to edit.
Set number of steps in the sweep length
Touch 100, followed by OK.

Touch the Dwell parameter window, touch again to edit.
Set dwell time
Touch 1, then S, followed by OK.

Switch output on
•
Press the [RF On] hard key.
Touch the Run button.
Run sweep
